The early summer sun bathed the campus, with cheerful laughter wafting through the air. Recently, the Primary School Division of our school welcomed lovely little guests--children from the senior classes of various kindergartens. With curiosity and anticipation for their primary school life, they entered our campus and embarked on a delightful ‘primary school debut’ journey.
First and foremost, at the school gate in the early morning, the teachers of the Primary School Division were already fully prepared, smiling brightly and greeting each child with warm words. In the meantime, the children, holding hands, officially embarked on their journey to explore the primary school.
Moreover, teachers led the children to watch the energetic recess activities of the high-level graders of the Primary School Division. More noticeably, the orderly formation and cheerful sports activities filled the children with anticipation for their primary school life. On the other hand, the enjoyable games with the foreign teachers made them feel the warmth and enthusiasm of primary school, thus alleviating their unfamiliarity with the new environment.
Additionally, teachers led the children into the classrooms for the ‘Experience Happy Classroom’ session where the children actively participated in two 15-minute fun lessons. Furthermore, in the interesting language class, the children followed the teacher to recite nursery rhymes and experienced the magic of Chinese characters. Also, in the joyful math class, the number games encouraged the children to raise their hands enthusiastically to participate. It’s noteworthy that the teachers of the Primary School Department used lively and engaging teaching methods to enable the children to experience the joy of the primary school classrooms in advance.
Last but not the least, at the end of the activity, the parents and children who came to our school for the experience were guided by the teachers to visit the campus. Meanwhile, they took photos to commemorate this unforgettable moment.
In conclusion, through seeing with their own eyes, hearing with their own ears and experiencing with their own bodies, the children gained a deeper understanding of their future primary school life. More remarkably, we look forward to the time when all children will be able to embark on a new chapter of their lives with confident and composed steps!
